Hey everyone. Merry Christmas!!  It's very weird even thinking about traditional Christmas this year... for obvious reasons! But have more time to think about and appreciate the blessed gift God gave to us... Himself!  I've always had a hard time separating the 3, seems like they need to be all the same :)  At any rate, our wish for all of you is that you will be able to enjoy the Savior this Christmas and all the year long!

The first week of December we took off from Dad Conrad's to head towards Florida. That was a bittersweet departure! We so enjoyed our time there with him and the rest of the family. What a precious treasure they all are :)

Traveling south in Georgia we came upon our first Alligator warning sign… We didn’t see any there. Those came later!

In the same area I got a closer look at the moss growing on these trees around here. Very interesting stuff, and very different from what we have in Idaho and Montana. And here we began to see more and more white sand in the soil.

Savannah, Georgia was beautiful… stately… lovely…and old!  We decided to take a tour since we find that’s usually the way we get the most information about an area we’re not familiar with.  So here we are with the old Captain himself :)

Savannah, known for their lovely trees…  beautiful!

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Shady, quaint with all the moss hanging from the trees and the beautiful buildings. And the locals spend much time sitting in the parks, reading and relaxing. I'm sure it's a lunch destination for folks who work downtown!

We were joined throughout the journey by different famous people from the past.
The bench remains in this park.

I am obviously the one who knows what to eat in Savannah. Low Country Boil! YUMMMM  Bob had a turkey sandwich or something boring like that.

And a trip to the candy store for a snack!

The wharf area where Bernies Restaurant and the WWII Memorial were.

And here we are on a Sunday morning in Augusta Georgia, at the Golf World Hall of Fame!

And now for some golf trivia… (actually it’s kind of interesting J)

On to Florida J   We didn’t mean to brag, but when everyone else seemed to be getting COLD and SNOW, we were having to dig out our shorts and tank tops J

Will be posting again in a few days with the Everglades and the Florida Keys!  Merry Christmas!!
