We are finally heading eastward :) Left Kalispell Wednesday afternoon. Haven’t made much progress geographically, but it’s been a beautiful ride J We went on hwy 35 to hwy 83 and spent the night in the forest by Porcupine Creek. The next day traveled Hwy 200 to Hwy 141 to hwy 12 where we spent the night in the
A man and his dog :)
And then more straight roads as we proceeded on Thursday…
A little area history at a Rest Area…
And then spent the night Thursday in the Helena
National Forest , somewhere at the edge
of Clarks Canyon .
And more beautiful scenery…
Sat in the car up high watching the sun go down. Expected to see more
critters, but only 6 mule deer (and 2 of those we think we saw twice), and a
couple of grouse.
We drove out of the hills to find hanging fog… so beautiful!...
Continuing on hwy 12 we headed east to Helena .
We were reminded that about 20 years ago, Bob was driving some of us
ladies to a Women of the Church
of God Convention in Helena and our
engine threw a rod on the long climb… and all the wonderful things that
happened from that ‘seemingly’ bad thing. Bob’s view of the women of God was
for ever changed after that weekend! Thank you ladies for the blessing that you
were then, and continue to be in so many lives!
And now we’re sitting in Helena
at the local WalMart to put this blog together and pick up a few
groceries. See you soon J
